How do I know if it's working?

What I mean is, how do I know to what extent it's contributing to the dream?

Also, how do I know whether it's downloading sheep properly? Right now, I get some very beautiful images--but it just cycles through about a dozen of them. Are there presently only a dozen sheep or so? (Among the ones I'm getting are the very ones that are showing on the right side of my screen on this website as I type in this message.)

Also, the transitions between sheep are smooth about half the time, but about half the time it simply abruptly changes from one to another with no transition animation. (Occasionally, it will do this after having shown the first sheep for only a second or less, which is especially jarring). Is this WAD?

Thanks for the great program!

thanks, glad you like it. if

thanks, glad you like it.

if you got some sheep then it sounds like it's working.  you can press F2 to monitor the network activity.  when you run it the first time it downloads the current flock which has about 25 sheep and 75 edges between sheep.  after you have all of them, it will download new sheep as they are created, which is just a couple per day.  we are working on adding a subscription service to download more sheep, but it's not ready yet.

if you have the mac version you can turn on the option to never skip, but it will also play fewer sheep (it avoids the sheep that lead to the jumps).  windows has this option too but right now you can only set it right now by editing your config file with a text editor.  the subscription version will also have more edges and so skip less.
