I was having a difficult time trying to get ES to work. It was working fine when I used the run button or the preview button, but would not kick on. The first thing to do is to see if any other screen saver is working, if not find and download the latest drivers for your keyboard/mouse and voila it should solve the problem, it did for me at least.
