When I render a sheep from the server in Apophysis, the resulting image is not the same as the one on the server

Hello all

I have been messing about with apophysis trying to figure out how it works. As part of this I have been rendering sheep from the server in Apophysis using their genomes, but they never look quite the same when they are rendered. There are always differences between the sheep image on the server, and the ones that I render.

for example, when I render this sheep: http://v2d7b.sheepserver.net/cgi/dead.cgi?id=16956&detail=view , it is basically the same, but the flowery blue, red and yellow spiral is missing, apart from in the centre.

and when I render this sheep: http://v2d7b.sheepserver.net/cgi/node.cgi?id=17516 , All I get is a small white dot.

But some sheep are spot on, like this one: http://v2d7b.sheepserver.net/cgi/dead.cgi?id=16713

Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong.

apophysis of any kind doesn't

apophysis of any kind doesn't do motion blur, so that's a different you just have to live with.

that sheep has perspective_angle="0"which is buggy in apophysis.  designers should avoid that, it was recently posted to the genetic design list.  if you are not a member, you should be.

change the variation to

change the variation to linear and remove the parameters (or add the weight of the perspective part to the linear part if it's already there).
