I'm not a programmer myself. I've done HTML, JavaScript and a very little Java. So I am wondering how hard it would be to make a version of electric sheep for the PlayStation 3? Just thinking that just like they have the "Folding at Home" application on PS3's now it would be nice to have "electric sheep" running on it to. With all they are able to do with the cell processor in PS3's as servers etc, plus wanting to have some thing cool to display on my flat screen TV as screen saver I just thought it would be cool.

If you want it on your
If you want it on your flatscreen tv, why not just hook up your computer and use your flatscreen as a secondary monitor. That would get electric sheep to run on your flatscreen...:)
Atleast it should work that way..I use my flatscreen as a secondary monitor and it shows my screensaver running so electric sheep should do the same.
I may be wrong, but try it sometime it may or may not work.
I am not really sure we can
I am not really sure we can do it, without either having linux installed there or paying development edition of PS3 which I think is very expensive. The linux client does have limited display capabilities, as PS3 doesn't allow to use full power of its graphics processor from installable Linux.
But anyway if somebody has a way to do it properly I would second the motion :)
i would love to see it, we
i would love to see it, we just need someone to volunteer to write it, or to port one of the existing clients. i would be happy to support the effort.
